Re-routing gas supply

We are in the process of demolishing our house, having received planning permission to build two houses on the same site. However, this will involve the re-routing of gas, electricity and water. The gas, in particular might be quite tricky as the pipe runs under our existing house to the neighbour's house, so I am wondering if their supply will be affected, whilst the new pipes are laid. Just to make everything more complicated, we have private drainage.

We are making applications to the various suppliers, but apparently they have to send out aa surveyor before giving a price and it all takes months.

Has anybody else had to deal with something similar and do you have any rough idea what the overall cost is likely to be?

Not had this done but it won't be cheap , you can get a quote from approved companies though. The network company will probably be mega money.
