Please help me fix my washing machine (error message)

My Bosch machine is displaying the error message 'E18' at various stages of washing/spinning cycles. YouTube advised me to clear out the filter which I did and I found loads of stuff (coins, hair grips, collar stiffeners etc) that shouldn't have been there. I managed to wash a couple of loads of washing but now the error message is back but the filter is clear. What else can I do?
