So we are in the middle of renovating our house. We have had our bedroom replastered but the corners of the room were formed using wooden poles which obviously couldn't be plastered over. The fissures in the wood have been smoothed over with filler and lots of sanding. As most of the room was new plaster it has all been mist coated before full strength paint applied. Most of the room looks great but over the wooden poles around the window and chimney breast, the paint has all cracked. We have tried sanding it back and using watered down paint and it has improved but still very visible, though hairline cracks. Is there any way to prevent/improve this? I am expecting our first baby to arrive in a couple of weeks so bonus points for solutions that won't take too long! TIA for any suggestions.
