New dishwasher

My house has never had a dishwasher installed so is only set up for a washing machine. If I were to buy a dishwasher would I need new pipes to connect it? Having googled I think I can fit a double trap for waste water and a connector for in flow so both can run off the same cold water pipe. How hard/reliable would this be?

If this is a silly idea anyone know how much it’ll cost for someone to come and fit new pipes? I’m sick of washing up Grin

I’ve just had a dishwasher fitted with a water inlet and outlet fitted and it cost me £90.00 best thing I ever did love my dishwasher

Wow, I expected it to be a lot more expensive! Think I’d rather pay £90 than risk flooding the whole house Grin Was it a plumber that installed it?
