Cost of a Structural Engineer opinion

Hi everyone!
My partner and I are trying to buy a little house in Leyton (London). There are some cracks in one of the bedrooms upstairs, nothing crazy but we would love to have an opinion from a structural engineer before making an offer on it. We don't want a proper formal survey, just someone that can come and give us his/her expert opinion. Any idea of a possible cost for something like that? Any of you had a similar experience?
Many thansk
Barbara

You really should get a formal survey done - they can save you money in the long run. Ours was around £650 for a full building survey & report (north London)
