Integrated kitchen bin

We are planning a new kitchen currently and are trying to work out where to put the integrated bin cupboard. At the moment the plans show it as next to the oven but I’m worried that the heat of the oven might make the bin smelly! Has anyone had experience of this? Kitchen planner is the one who has put it next to the oven so not sure if I’m just overthinking it!

Depends on the layout of your kitchen!
I can’t imagine the heat would cause an issue though if the bin is in its own cupboard.

Ours is next to the dishwasher and has hot water pipes running behind it - it does get warm in that cupboard.

I would put it under where you’ll do most of your food prep?
