Do good ones exist? My only experience of them is in holiday accommodation and they’ve always been shocking.
Short of space so could really do with one instead of separate washer and dryer
Thanks

My mum has always had them and swears by them. I must admit I'm impressed by her current AEG machine. I also used to have one when I lived in a flat (it was a Zanussi) and it was fine.

I think the issue is that if you are used to a separate dryer, a combined machine will never seem quite so good. However, they've come a long way. My biggest issue used to the drum not being big enough for stuff to "tumble" properly. But modern washers now have much larger drums and this is less of an issue. In fact, we recently moved and whilst I've replaced the washing machine, I'm yet to replace the old dryer the previous owners left. My new washing machine drum is much bigger than the drum on the rather old dryer!

I suspect full size washer dryers will be a better than integrated ones - our integrated one is so awful we hardly ever use the dryer, it takes hours to dry anything. When this one dies I’ll replace it with a washer only and find somewhere else to put a small tumble dryer.

Well, our washing machine broke a few weeks back and my OH insisted on a washer dryer to replace it. On first trial it is amazing. i dry everything outside usually or inside on a lakeland airer but if the dryer is that good once winter comes we will be using it more often. It was fab.

It is a hotpoint and nothing out of the ordinary expense wise.

I hate mine! 😩

It takes twice as long to wash and dry everything (obviously!)

frasier · 03/06/2018 12:43

Ooh, meant to say the one we have at the moms t is the best we’ve had, it’s aHotpoint, but trips if it has s heavy load. Hotpoint guy came out and said I can only dry half loads at a time. 😟

I’ve had real issues with hotpoint in the past
Any other recommendations?
Thanks for the info so far
