Help with a bunk bed ladder

Because we don't have a bottom bunk on this bed we were to,d we couldn't have the straight ladder, as it screwed to the bottom bunk for strength. We need a straight ladder, what can we do please?

Ds had a straight ladder on similar mid sleeper

Did it stand on the floor?

You can buy bunk bed ladder hooks and a plane straight bunk bed ladder (or make one if you done mind a bit of diy). You would need to create a frame for the bottom of the ladder though. They are right about that. You need a fixed point at the base or the ladder will flex and break. You could screw a reinforcement block of wood through the carpet into the floor (if it's wood) and screw the base of the ladder to that.
