Anyone put bespoke doors on Howdens or other kitchen carcasses?

Hi - we're planning a new kitchen and due mainly to time constraints (can't afford the 8 week or longer lead time for a full kitchen) we're thinking of fitting Howdens carcasses and ordering some bespoke doors. We'll still have to wait a few weeks for the doors but at least we can fit the carcasses whilst waiting and we've had Howdens kitchens before and happy with the quality of their carcasses. Has anyone done this using Howdens or other carcasses (IKEA etc)? We want Shaker style and are interested in Naked doors and Foxtow Shaker doors, but my partner is anxious about getting the measurements wrong and the doors not fitting! The whole process does seem quite complicated - would be grateful to hear any experiences or other suggestions for companies providing doors / side panels etc. Thanks

somewhat the reverse

I have used readymade doors and ordered, or had made, units to fit.

Ordinary UK kitchen cabinets are made in standard sizes (I believe Ikea are different) so not difficult.

There are large companies who make cabinets to order in your choice of laminate, such as Benjamin James, they seem fine, though delivery is costly for small orders. It's useful when you need sizes to fit round a boiler, microwave, or in a small corner, or an extractor canopy. They will drill (or not drill) for hinges and shelves according to your order. Hinge distances are standard, but I don't remember the rules. Your door supplier will know, and quite likely will have a recommendation for a unit supplier as well. Howdens are a trade-only supplier.

If you search for a thread about imitating DeVol kitchens, there is a really long thread about doing the same thing.
