How to find a fitter for a diy kitchens kitchen

I really really want a Luca kitchen with quartz worktops. But when I’ve spoken to local kitchen fitters they just want to use Howdens or their only suppliers. No one has ever heard of DIY kitchens - obviously can’t be mn users. How therefore do I find a fitter? Help please

They may be familiar with Ultima - that's the brand of the kitchens if you like, DIY is the retail arm's name.

ask around for personal recommendation of a local chippy. Speak to the householder and look at the work.

For the avoidance of doubt, a listing on a website where the traders pay to be listed, and are able to prevent unfavourable comments being published, is an advertisement, not a personal recommendation.

If you're anywhere between Bedford and Cambridge I can recommend the chippies (medium-sized carpentry business) who did my DIY kitchen. Let me know!

My joiner fitted my Luca kitchen and brought in his guys (electrician, plumber, plasterer). If you’re S Yorks then I’ll happily pass on his details

We had our Luca kitchen installed 2 years ago by our builders who were doing other work in the house. He was really set on us using Howdens but we thought diy was better value and quality. Our builder was sure there would be problems due to buying on line but in the end he was very impressed with DIY. No delivery problems and solid units.

Thanks all. widowtwonky unfortunately you are just a bit too far south for us - we’re North Yorkshire.

Of course they want to use Howdens, they get massive commission from them, but their prices are a joke from customer's point of view
