Perfect Fit vs Bloc Blackout Blinds

Hope someone can help us, DH and I keep waking up super early due to the morning light in our bedroom. We have cheap B&Q roller blackout blinds at the moment which are fraying at the edges and the backing is starting to disintegrate. In front of those we have heavy blackout curtains on a pole - I detest curtains on tracks. But light is getting round the edges and waking us up.

Has anyone got any experience of either Perfect fit blackout or Bloc blackout blinds either for or against. We are looking at about £140 per window and we have two so trying to avoid an expensive mistake.

Thanks!

Bump

Looking into this ourselves at the moment

We have bloc blinds. The bedroom is totally dark with them down and the tiny bit of light at the bottom corners does not wake anyone up.

I'm interested too as want something like this for the DCs' windows. I seem to remember someone in John Lewis telling me the Bloc fabrics can be changed later if you fancy a change - if that's right then that would be a plus. I may be misremembering though.

Yes. I think the fabrics can be changed.

We 'invested' in perfect fit blinds at significant cost and I have been massively disappointed. It might just be the particular manufacturer, but although the frame fits well, the material inside the frame still flexes and allows lots of light in - nothing approaching the blackout effect I was hoping for. If you do go down this route, do check how 'light tight' the particular type you buy might be.

Bump as I too am looking.

I got a quote for perfect fit it was massive. The guy who quoted was very fair and said even if I went for black colour blind they will not operate like a black out function.

I want basically hotel like curtains.

This isn't good! There were so many reviews saying Perfect Fit gave really good blackout. Confused now! Confused

We've got perfect fit in our kitchen. I really like them but they aren't blackout blinds - you still get a bit of light leakage round the edges.
