Moving to Fernwood Newark

Hi, I live in Lincoln and have just separated from my long term partner, I work in Newark and am planning to look at a flat in Fernwood near Newark, does anyone have any views on that area, I don't need lots of pubs/restaurants as Newark is close enough, just wondered if anyone had any views on that area<

Hello we lived in Newark for about 5 years but in town near the train station. On the off chance you're interested in being closer to town we're selling our flat which is 2 door entry so very secure with allocated parking.

It's Balderton. It's pretty rough. It wouldn't be for me.

No worries @vincv1 just thought selling to a fellow MN'er would be great. I don't know outside of the centre I'm afraid at all well.

I have a friend who has moved to Fernwood within the last year. It is very quiet, and transport links to Newark aren’t great. There is a convenience store - I think - a gym, a trim trail, a pub and a village hall which is where various groups meet. She really likes it.
