My chain is being held up because, my buyers solicitor forgot to mention to my buyer that they needed money upfront for searches! I ended up having to tell my buyer to tell her solicitor that she needed to give them money.

Bah!

Bah, indeed. Rant away.

oh rant away, I will join you, our purchase is taking forever despite there being no chain, just us and the vendors. I thought we'd be exchanged by the beginning of May now we'll be lucky if it's before the beginning of June. I just want to mooovvvvvvvvve .

Oh Mrs FP you have my sympathy. Can we cry together? I am desperate to move too.

My buyers are very sweet but don't have a clue and I keep having to phone them to tell them what is going on. Nobody bothers to contact them, they have gone to their solicitor today and paid £400, purely on the basis of my phone call to them yesterday. Their solicitor is new to the firm she is working for

It's crap isn't it? Our survey report has only just come back after six, count 'em, six weeks of chasing, lost cheques, uncontactable surveyors, mysteriously missing in post items etc etc. And the vendors still haven't got round to supplying the building regs certificates for the new windows. And nobody is in any hurry - the solicitors are so chilled and I come off the phone feeling like a foaming madwoman.

We weren't asked for any buildings regs/fensa by our buyers until the very last minute before Exchange . As we had none we paid for an indemnity policy, about £90 iirc.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 25/05/2007 13:01

We had Fensa problems too

Grrrrrrrr. I am still ranting!!!!!!!!!!!!

My buyers solicitor is worse than crap and I am fed up. Bottom of the chain want to complete by 8th June >. The person we are buying from needs to be exchanged at the very latest by 15th June or her rented place will fall through. My buyers still don't have a fecking clue about how the system works. My dh needs to go and speak to our potential new neighbour tonight as the way the deeds have been written we need his express permission in writing to do any alterations (we are converting the garage to a room and adding a conservatory and won't be buying the property unless we can do this).

I am going on holiday tomorrow. Pah

Arrrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Ah that feels better, to have got it all out
