how long until mortgage survey?

We accepted an offer 4 weeks ago and took our house off the market subject to the buyers organising their mortgage and a survey within two weeks. This was the recommendation from the real estate agent which we accepted.

We've not had a date booked for the mortgage survey yet, should we follow up? It feels like such a long time to be waiting around, then there will be a further few weeks before they get their actual mortgage offer.

We are both chain free and just hoping for it to go through as quick as possible, but maybe I'm being a bit too impatient?

Ask your estate agent to follow it up for you with the buyer's solicitors. I also accepted an offer on my house 4 weeks ago, the survey was done 3 weeks later and my estate agent let me know my buyer had his mortgage offer through this weekend. It was only a basic valuation survey though.

We, on the other hand, are still waiting for the survey to booked in on the place we're buying, I had an offer accepted on the same day that I accepted an offer on my place. I paid for the survey a week ago and had to chase it up yesterday as the survey company had done nothing since then.
