Have you tried it and how did it turn out, can you recommend any materials?

My door is fine but discolored and no amount of cleaning will change it back. would rather not waste a perfectly good door so would prefer to paint it if possible.

Door is about 9 / 10 years old

I have asked the same thing on my facebook and been to use Rust-oleum Universal all surface paint. my friend has done it using that and hers looks fabulous!
wonder how long it lasts?!

There are companies that will spray paint a uvpc door . I can't say what the finish is like but I think they charge around £150 a door.

You can use dulux weathershield paint. It's for upvc. If you are on Facebook there is a 'diy on a budget' group where people post photos of the results if you wanted to see the colours Smile

I did this last year on our front door and it worked perfectly - still looks the same a year later and is a big improvement on the ugly door it was before!

I lightly sanded the door, cleaned it with sugar soap and then painted it with Sandtex UPVC primer. Once the UPVC primer was dry, I then painted it with a normal exterior wood/metal paint. It was a really easy job, I would definitely recommend it based on my experience Smile
