Back of wardrobes

The backs of my wardrobes face into the room in the bedroom. Opposite them is a large bay window, to the left a large fireplace, and to the right another window and chests of drawers.
Behind, on the other side, they are normal wardrobes, and I have a nice dressing area.
What shall I do to hide the horrible backs of them? Quite bad at DIY but I am happy to get a handyman. Any lovely ideas?

Could you get some nice fabric and tack/staple it on? Or wallpaper the back panels.

Cheapest way would be that once you have your hangings in place on the bed frame, buy enough fabric in a matching/contrasting (whatever your taste) to pin along the top of the wardrobes with plenty of gather.

Or a nice wallpaper over a couple of sheets of thin ply board, then superglue them to the backs of the wardrobes. (Wallpaper does stick plyboard, I have done this for a DIY project with very pleasing results)

Thanks. I don't know what kind of fabric/wallpaper to go for that is the problem.
I open up fabric books and shut them again as there are too many!
Not going to have hangings on the bed, I don't really like the drapes, just the frame.

I'd buy wallpaper and wallpaper them .

Thanks, not sure what kind to go for - dark, light, pattern, texture, mural of an Indian elephant......

Light, something that goes with beddings/curtain you have.
