Hi all!

Thanks for any advice you might be able to give, posting on a friend’s behalf.

*London-based FTB, 30, no kids.
*Working in the City.
*Ideally want to live somewhere with great transport links yet villagey feel (have lived in Chiswick and crouch end and love that vibe)
*Garden not hugely important but some kind of outside space nearby would be a big bonus - low maintenance garden would be good also
*Big fan of natural light and windows!!
*Dont mind whether flat or house

May be buying with partner in the next five years. In that case, should the existing place be rented out or sold? What is more sensible?

Ideally 2 bed, with one room that can be rented out

Blackheath! Absolutely lovely village feel, great views, feels very like Licing in London yet also villagey, loads of green space on the Heath, you can walk through Greenwich spark to Greenwich. And you have two train lines, bus to the tube at North’s greenwich, Walk to DLR at Lewisham. We had a fabulous flat there and were very happy

Yep - blackheath is about 20 mins to Cannon Street.

I vote Blackheath too! I lived there once and loved it. Trains are frequent into CST

Look at the new train timetable proposals for Blackheath though. The service could be reducing. Lovely area though.
