Hi All

Has anyone been through the application process recently with Nationwide? We have our DIP and application has been submitted, valuation has been carried out yesterday, just wondering how long we should expect to wait?

Normally around 4 working days from valuation being done to offer dependent on when the surveyor types up the report.

Thank you for your reply.

The lender has the valuation with them and I've been told it will be reviewed by the end of the day Tuesday, is this a normal time frame?

Thank you (the process is very daunting)

Sounds about right. We had a house valued on the 8th May. As of last night the final decision was still with them. I expect it'll be next week before we hear anything.

Ahhh ok thank you for replying. I have discovered throughout this process how impatient I am!

Most lenders won't do the valuation until the people have been underwritten. Deep breath!

Cook13 · 11/05/2018 16:18

Apologies for all the questions but what does that mean?

Thank you again!

Lots of deep breaths lol

No need to apologise.

Means that they will credit score, look at pay slips, bank statements, affordability, overall risk of the applicant before spending the applicants money on a valuation of the property.

If the valuation comes back at the right price and they are happy with the property condition they will make an offer to lend

We got our mortgage with Nationwide two years ago, and I got so anxious and impatient that I called them on the afternoon of the valuation day to see if there was any info. They told me then and there that the valuation was fine, even though I hadn't been sent any notification at that point.

So if you're really desperate to know, try calling them...
