Not confirmed yet but a few weeks ago it suddenly emerged Hmm that seller's ex wife was still on title deeds. She's not responded to letters about it so far, so I think that's probably it really for us and this one Sad
Really disappointed as this was such a good find - needed gutting but was priced low enough that we could afford to do what was needed. Now we're going to have to reign our expectations back in and start looking further afield and at properties that aren't as good - struggling to see how we won't just compare everything to this one and therefore be disappointed!
Big sighs all round!! SadSad

If you really want that house, it might be worth just waiting. A house can be sold without consent of both parties but the seller would have to get consent from the court (which might take a while).

Pretty sure there was a similar thread a few weeks ago from the other sides perspective. The new wife/DP was FURIOUS with her DP for not getting it sorted earlier and equally concerned about everything falling through.
