Would you bother updating this kitchen?

I did a diy job on it. Painted the doors, painted some of the tiles, stuck decals over the rest and had a new lino floor done. So it looks ok but really, the cabinet doors are a bit shabby, the worktop is dated, it could do with a new sink and the tiles look a bit amateur-ish. I'm happy with it but the house will go on the market at some point, so is it worthwhile doing an update?

If you're going to sell it I would leave it as is.

Only if it would add more to the value of the house than the cost plus inconvience. Or if you really do want a new kitchen.

It looks clean, neat, functional and neutral. You could Rio it out and put a new one in but that would be no more likely to be to a prospective buyer's taste.

I think leave as is . If you can’t sell and get feed back about it then you can do it

It looks perfectly serviceable. I’d leave it - people have such varied tastes you could go to the expense and hassle of replacing it only for new owners to rip it all out again.

Thanks everyone. Music to my ears, as I don't like spending money and can't bear building work!

its fine. you dont know which of the three kitch en options a buyer will want ( shiny, painted wood, metal) so leave it.

It’s looks nice in he photo and would be totally fine to live with. Don’t put a new kitchen in.

It not big so a buyer might knock down a wall to open it up. I would. Therefore leave it.
