Keep having to reset boiler - red light?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help before I actually call an engineer out. I have a valiant combi boiler and in that past when a red light has flashed, I’ve just reset it and it’s been fine for ages. Over the last day or so it’s happened more frequently. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and whether this has meant anything serious?

I don’t know that model but if you don’t have a carbon monoxide alarm I’d switch the boiler off for now. Have a look in YouTube...I learned how to refil mine and relight the pilot using the wonderful world of YouTube

That’s really made me panic! I have two small children. Sounds like I’ll definitely need someone professional to look at it.

Mine keeps doing this, British Gas have looked at it twice and still haven't found out why. It's resetting for some reason. I'd definitely get someone out to look at yours.

If you put an @ sign in front of the name PigletJohn, he'll get an email saying he's been mentioned on this thread. He knows all about boilers (and shed loads of other things) and is fantastically helpful.

Thank you so much!

Is it at the correct pressure?
