Colinton

Contemplating moving back to Edinburgh to Colinton, which is an area I don't know. How long do buses take to get to the centre, what is the access to green spaces like and the amenities please?

My PILs live there, there are a few buses into the centre that take 20-30 minutes, lots of green space (pentlands, parks, Covenanter's woods, footy pitches all within 10 minutes walk).
It's very villagey and suburban, but has a nice community feel, with an active amenities association etc.

Colinton is lovely..we regularly do the walk along the canal into Edinburgh.
