Sorry I know this question is very vague. But me and my partner are looking into the idea of starting to buy our own house. We currently live in a small town in the SW called ilfracombe, it’s a great town don’t get me wrong! But it has issues (bad schooling, drugs, etc.) so we were wondering where some good places in the uk to live are. We were hoping for a nice place near where we live now, however we are open to anywhere! Any information is great!
EDIT: we have recently been looking at Scotland (around Inverness particularly) however we decided to have a look for other options before setting our hearts on it due to distance from family (I.C.E) and other personal reasons. Thank you Smile

What does I.C.E. mean? There are so many nice places in the UK. I think you need to give more detail so people can help you; town/countryside? Budget? Location for jobs etc.

In Case of Emergency.

weather will be a bit different in Scotland....

there are no best places or we would all live there, but there are places that suit some better than others. And I'm afraid you'll never escape the dealers totally, sorry.

Well, Scotland is wonderful - edinburgh is a fantastic city and regularly tops places to live in the U.K. charts. That said, moving away from family is hard, if you’ve helpful family I would think carefully if you do want to be that far away and how much they will visit and the expense of the visits.
