New laminate floor flexing

Coming to the end (I hope so) of a huge kitchen renovation.

The laminate floor is just going down on a concrete floor.
I've just arrived home from work to find half the floor laid.
It flexes in several areas. In one area it creaks even when my daughter walls on it.

I know a great deal of effort went into trying to level the concrete floor beneath. The builder used floor leveller in 2 areas.

He's due back tomorrow. Obviously I will be telling him but can anyone advise is normal. Is it unreasonable to expect a floor with no flex at all? I do understand concrete floors are seldom level.

He is using a roll of can't underlay but as far as I can tell that's all between the laminate and the concrete floor.

Any advice of how to get the floor more level? Or what to expect from laminate on a concrete floor please.

We had this after laying laminate over a concrete floor throughout our entire downstairs 3 years ago. It drove us mad and we tried everything to fix it.

The only thing that stopped it creaking was pulling it all up and gluing the pieces together and also gluing some pieces to the floor. It was a bit of a ball ache but so worth it as not a peep since!

I know that was probably the last thing you wanted to hear but atleast it's only one room.

Omg! No not what i wanted to hear!!
This is the final straw for me after what had been an absolute nightmare project - im considering binning the laminate and going for a tiled floor. Either way its a shit job snd more ££ to pay the builder Sad

How long has the concrete been down and how thick is it? I'm wondering if it is dry.

The self leveller went down 2 weeks ago. Was dry in 24hrs.
