Protecting carpet during house renovation

We will be having new kitchen/bathroom in a small flat and I wondered what I could do to protect the fairly new carpet from any damage etc

Have a look for roll and stroll. It's sticky stuff which covers carpets, not slippy.

Out builders put down carpet protector called No Nosense. The name assumes me for some reason.
