We are buying a house and need to have a house insurance. So how do you choose one and what do you need to think about when choosing?

Hi you will need buildings and contents insurance.
Building you insure for the value of the property I think. Some policies are unlimited value I think.
Contents you need to value all the items you have to replace them new for old. You go through room to room and calculate the value of everything you have. Imagine there was a fire and you lost everything - what would it cost to replace.
Go on Moneysupermarket.com or comparethemarket.com to compare quotes. You may have items of high value such as jewellery which you wear outside the home. You will need personal possessions cover to insure these.
Hope this has helped.

put all the detail into the comparison site, select your excess and then go for the lowest price for the cover you need. switch every year to avoid huge price rises.
