Painting UPVC windows

Has anyone done this? Was it successful? I'm thinking of getting our scruffy old UPVC windows painted a dark grey. The decorator says he would prime with "zinsser bullseye" or "Dulux super grip" then finish with a top coat in a colour of our choice. Would welcome any thoughts/experience/photos of success or otherwise!

We did this Hideous brown UVPC windows we couldn't afford to replace. Used a specialist primer and F&B paint. We replaced them after 10 years and they still looked good

Have a look at frenchic alfresco - it doesn't need a primer.

Did you go ahead & paint?

GrannyRoberts · 22/05/2018 08:57

Not yet! Still mulling it over. Our decorator is not keen though.
