How much to convert a garage?

We’re looking at a buying a house but house we would want to convert the garage into a 2nd living area/playroom. I know it’s abit of a how ‘long is a peice of string’ question but I just want a really rough idea of if it’s feesable. So if you’ve had one done how much did it cost? It’s about 14M2 TIA

about 10k here. Builder from west midlands

That's including insulation, framing, wiring, plasterwork, new drainage, bath, shower, separate loo, tiling, floor levelling and flooring

To make it a play space I'd say if you're in the midlands you might get away with 7k ish

South east £18k including ensuite

Don't forget to check with the local Planning Department before committing to the purchase if such a conversion is essential.
Many areas do not permit conversion of garages or reduction in available parking on recent developments.

Thanks that’s cheaper than I had thought so maybe we would be able to do it right away rather than waiting - I’m manchester way. Thanks GrumpyOlderBloke we will deffinately check if we decide to proceed, it’s a Victorian house with a double drive way and the garage isn’t big enough to fit a car in anyway 😂 lots of houses on the street and nearby area seem to have converted or knocked it down and done a 2 storey extension up the side so I’m hoping it will be ok.
