Can you keep a worktop?

Want a new kitchen but to keep the existing granite worktop. Does anyone know if this is even possible or would the worktop have to come out/be broken? It's in an L-shape if that's relevant.

you can try, but don't be surprised if it breaks. They are incredibly heavy, needing several people to lift, and may well be securely glued into position.

Every time you lift and move it, there is a risk it will break.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe worth a try but with low expectations then?
