I'm looking for some DIY patio help, please!
We want to extend our existing patio but have no idea on how to do it really. We've already dug out the area but what materials do we need to make sure it's laid correctly and what method do we need to use?
Also, when do you need to build a retaining wall? The garden slopes (1 meter higher at the very top of the garden) so where we've dug out there's a drop of about 8 inches on the top left hand side then it slopes again to the right until it's level with the patio (I hope this makes sense!). Would we need incorporate a proper retaining wall or could we use some sort of wooden border edging?
