Hi,

My gf and I are looking to move to either Windsor (terrace in Springfield road which needs work) or old winsdor ( detached 20yr old house near fox and castle). Windsor is a nice terrace whereas OW is much bigger but away from Windsor and therefore the station which makes it easier to commute. What are the pros and cons and Windsor cs old winder (I.e plane noise, community, OW houses look newer and not as nice as Edwardian terraces...). Like everything we want to detached house to be relocated to sporting field raid which isn’t possible so are searching for any advice...
Any help appreciate !!

Could you please correct the typos in the second half of your post as it's a struggle to understand what it means.

Hi, here are the typos amended... apologies.
My bf and I are looking to move to either Windsor (terrace in Springfield road which needs a lot of work) or Old Windsor ( detached 20yrish old house near fox and castle). Windsor is a nice terrace whereas Old Windsor is much bigger but away from Windsor (3miles) and therefore the station which makes it easier to commute so we’d have to drive to Datchet and park. What are the pros and cons to living in Windsor vs old Windsor?
(I.e. plane noise, friendliness of the community… Old Windsor houses look newer and not as nice as Edwardian terraces- does this affect the areas value...)? Would it be better to move to Englefield Green vs Old Windsor?
Like everything we want to detached house but also to be located in the middle of Windsor which isn’t achieveable at our budget so we’re looking at comprimses. We’ve recently moved back from abroad so don’t know the area very well…. so are searching for any advice...
Any help appreciate !!
Thanks

Windsor and Old Windsor are two very different places. It really depends what is important for you at this stage of your life. If you want space, parking etc then Old Windsor. If you want busy town life with tourists everywhere, but restaurants and shops in walking distance then Windsor.
I prefer Windsor, but would only buy there again if I had my own parking.

Thanks for that. Is Old Windsor considered as nice as Windsor? We're in our late 30s but parking is pretty hard to get with a budget of 700 within daily walking distance of the station. We've heard parking at Windsor station everyday and getting the train to London is expensive and spaces aren't guaranteed?
