Shutters in Bay Window

I'm looking at getting some shutters for the living room in our 1930s semi - I like the clean finish they give. Does anyone know whether shutters in this type of bay window can be completely folded back? We've had one quote that said it wasn't possible but we would be able to open one shutter (of 5!) at a time to open the window etc. Worried I'll feel claustrophobic if they are permanent fixtures!

Any experiences or recommendations if shutter companies gratefully received!

I had Harvey's come to quote about my bays but wanted fold back shutters. They wanted to put the shutters inside the window frames so when folded they stick out into the room. I wanted a separate frame around the window but that was apparently not available.
