Buying a house with maintenance payments

Ftb, put an offer in on a house and been accepted and send all documents over to the mortgage company. (3 months of bank statements).

My exh pays maintenance for Dc and I have been allowed to use part of this as an income for my mortgage. Mortgage company have now asked for 6 months to prove exh has been paying. However, Exh changed jobs end of last year with a huge pay rise (he is now past the probationary period) so mid October to end of December statements have considerable less maintenance and they are now querying this, as its now the weekend I won't hear anything more until Monday at the earliest.

Has anyone else had this surely they will use current payments as this will be the amount I get when paying the mortgage and not what he earnt last year? Just feeling so stressed with it all

When I used maintenance towards my income for a mortgage they got my ex to sign to say that was the minimum he would pay until my eldest was 18.

@pinkpixie83 thank you, that's really helpful. Hopefully exh will do that if they need it.
