Brushed chrome or brushed nickel?

I’m looking for knobs and cup pull handles for my new kitchen (DIY Norton Light Grey/Hague Blue island) and am stuck. What’s the difference between chrome and nickel and which is nicer? (Going for a modern rustic look). Any recommendations of where to get them??

Thanks

I have brushed nickel front door furniture. It is not as silvery/steely as stainless (and chrome but I haven't seen brushed chrome), it is very slightly more goldy/warmer. Only really noticeable if you have nickel/chrome side by side. In a kitchen I'd go for stainless, more fittings and appliances will match, they don't come in brushed nickel.

I prefer the look of brushed nickel over brushed stainless. When you see it beside stainless it looks richer in colour and classier. However, like nemmo says, it may not fit in with your kitchen if you need to match with other fittings and appliances.
