How to secure a cable on artificial grass?

We have artificial grass on our balcony, and want to put some lights out there.

The cable will have to run on top of the artificial grass, but any way I position it looks like it’s going to stick up and trip the toddler.

Any ideas? It can’t go under as the grass is laid very tightly on the paving.

Can you run the cable up the balcony wall and over to outer side of the balcony instead, using conduit to protect it? You might need to use an extension lead suitable for outdoor use. Or you could use battery or solar powered lights instead. We use rechargeable batteries with the battery powered ones.

Ah thanks for the idea but it’s actually a really big balcony, it would have to go a very long way to go all around, and I don’t think we’re allkwed to attach stuff to the outside.

Solar lights would be good but we already have these ones with a cable....
