Hi,
Hubby and I are selling our house to a lovely couple who have been very pro-active throughout. However their solicitor (who works for a large local legal practice is a "chartered legal executive" which, from my understanding, is not actually a wholly qualified solicitor. They are having huge problems with her interpretation of two issues and would like to change solicitors but are unsure because they are "porting" their mortgage and fear that the building society would take a dim view because the law firm acts for them also. Any advice would be gratefully received.
