Our ensuite shower room is, in my view, quite presentable. If you were to be hyper critical it is a bit 90's with larger tiles and a proper wash basin rather than a bowl on a plank. We paid for some quite expensive Karndean to replace the original floor 3 years ago.
The shower and enclosure is not lovely. The folding shower door has a silly pattern on it, the tray has a high step up. There is really good water pressure to the shower and it doesn't need any boosting.
I'm wondering if we could get away with replacing the shower tray and enclosure and having a suitable coloured wall boarding put in to replace the tiles inside the shower, but leave the rest untouched, with the old toilet and washbasin and tiles left alone. Has anyone else tried this? At the moment we are in two minds about whether to stay in this house long term or to move in 2 years time, so want to keep it updated and nice to live in but don't want to spend more than we have to in the process.
