Re-routing Guttering across extension roof

We just moved to a house that has a 1.25 meter ground floor extension to the rear of our property. This extension has a sloping roof.

Currently the down pipe from the main roof (and next door as semi detatched) empties onto the sloping roof. Water runs across the roof (in a concentrated area) and in turn drains into the gutter running along the back of the extension and into a down pipe.
Several friends/visitors have mentioned this is bad practice. Also there is obvious marking to the roof tiles visually. It means vincentrsted area of rain also runs very close to a roof vent for a cooker hood and we think we may have found staining on the ceiling (hard to see as small area between top of kitchen wall units snd ceiling)maybe from a previous leak.

I think in normal rainfall the current guttering probably works ok but worry about torrential or longer spells of heavy rain. I would feel happier having a down pipe above the extension taking rain past the roof vent safely.

I've been googling guttering solutions and am wondering how viable my idea is. One thing I'm concerned about is attaching a down pipe to existing roof tiles.

I've attached 2 pics. 1 that is the same set up to what we currently have and one that shows a down pipe on a roof. The only difference is our down pipe is not located to one side of the extension. It's in the middle.
