Wondering if anyone can provide a rough estimate. We want to push out the kitchen wall at the back of the house, maybe 1.5 to 2 meters (5.7m wise). It would just be better me wall as the house is u-shaped and the kitchen is in the middle. We would want bifold doors and possibly a partially glass roof or at least Velux set in the roof.

Any idea how much this would be roughly? We are in the south east.

In Scotland, so might vary a lot, but I've been quoted circa £30k in the last two weeks from three builders for a 3x8m master bedroom, ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe extension to our bungalow. Think average was about 1200 a square metre finished and including the vat.

Should have said, that was with French doors and two velux roof windows and two different shapes of roof trusses to get it to fit.

Thanks. I had that kind of figure in my head but didn't really have any idea

Two years ago we had a 5x2 metre extension, into the side return with French doors & roof lantern plus they built a utility cupboard, also included electrics/plastered/painted we supplied flooring & radiators which they fitted, came in at approx twenty two thousand.
I’m in the south east.

Sounds very similar to what we want, thanks!

in outer SW London for a 3.5*5 extension quotes have been 40-75 (+vat!) for plaster finish.

Waaah, that's a lot!

We were told £1500 sq/m + costs of bifolds & Velux +VAT that's for no flooring, paint etc.

In reality all quotes came in higher than that. We do need quite a lot of steel
