What shade of white?

Very uninteresting, I know, but I am just looking to refresh the spare bedroom. It is a lovely grey at the moment but DH doesn't like it, so we're just going to paint it neutral. What Dulux shade of white is nice? The room is south facing but not particularly bright. Also, I was wondering if there might be a more resilient finish than flat matt. TIA!

Can I follow please as I would like to paint my bedroom white but unsure on colour.

Timeless by Dulux is lovely, I've just painted with it. It's white, but without the glare of PBW. No undertone of any other colour that I can see, so should go with any colour soft furnishings.

I love Dulux Timeless too - a decorator told me ages ago that it's the best soft white, and I've used it for ceilings and woodwork ever since.

I also love Timeless, we've just painted our hallway with it and it's lovely. Soft & warm.

Just painted my wardrobes with Timeless.

It’s nice but for walls I’d want at least a hint of colour.

Svalberg · 12/04/2018 16:18

Another fan of Timeless - all our hallways are done in it.

Great I'm going to go for timeless too for my bedroom. Thank you

We looked at loads of whites had testers everywhere - in the end stuck with dulux endurance brilliant white. we're doing the whole house & wanted something easy.

Trumpetboysmum · 13/04/2018 07:20

Timeless is nice or Jasmin white - all of our ceilings are going to be this colour - nice soft colour

MikeWyzowski · 13/04/2018 07:29

Jasmine white!

Trumpetboysmum · 13/04/2018 08:39

Thank you for that typing on phone

MarmiteTermite · 13/04/2018 08:45

Timeless here too

Belonger · 13/04/2018 08:48

Sail white, I think its Crown. I love it, have it all over and people always comment on how peaceful the house seems

Animalsoffarthingwood · 13/04/2018 09:05

We painted our whole house in Dulux timeless when we moved in!

It's a lovely soft white colour, just very neutral, went on lovely too and only needed 2 coats even to cover dark colours.

Fourmagpies · 13/04/2018 09:07

We've been using white cotton and Timeless. Timeless is very slightly creamy. We've been using Easycare which seems to be holding up well and is easy to wipe down (we have it in our utility and haven't tiled behind the sink yet and it's wiped down really well).

BlackberryandNettle · 17/04/2018 22:57

Another timeless fan here, lovely soft milky white

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 18/04/2018 08:01

Another vote for Timeless, though I'd forgotten the name!

Have also used Jasmine white - very slightly sunshiny tint but still 'white' and looked lovely.
