Hiya, I currently have 2 properties, a 3 bed & a 2 bed that was added to the side in 2015. Planning permission has been granted to split the properties into 2 and numbering agreed for the extension.
The dwellings are owned as tenant in common (60/40 %) with my son and a small mortgage left on the property, We now need to split the deed, to allow each dwelling to have his own title deed. The extension will be transferred to my son as the full owner and original house in my name.
Should we do the split of title first and then do the transfer when the house is being sold? Or should the transfer be done before the house is put out for sale?
