Best time to sell house?

We are selling our house in London. It needs redecorating and a host of things doing to it. We could put it on the market now "as is" it sort everything out and put it on over summer. Is there a danger of missing the "spring market"? Are there slow times?

We will be putting our London house on in the next week. We sstc last year but had to pull out, the market has definitely dipped and we will be putting it on for less this time.

Not sure when is the best time but we are relocating so no option to wait.

Can I ask how much less? I wonder if we should just put it on if the market is going to continue to slide?

People go on holiday in the summer.

We were advised spring or autumn is the time to put it on. Also don't overly invest in decoration as you won't get your money back. Just fix the most off putting things.

school summer holidays always sees the market go quiet for a good stint.
