Integrated Fridge OR Freezer with ice maker

Does anyone know of an integrated full length fridge of Freezer that has an ice maker?

We have an American style fridge freezer with an ice maker and water dispenser in the front and I find it great to use.

What I don't find great is the freezer with mainly shelves - there is danger of a landslide every time we go in there.

So, when I get my new Kitchen I've decided that I want separate full length integrated fridge and freezers (with lots of lovely big drawers) but I can't find any (for a sensible price) that have ice or water dispenser on the front.

I can't seem to find any with an ice maker inside either?!!!

Does anybody know of any brands that do this?

No, but we have an American style f/f by Fisher & Paykel where the freezer is drawers (in case that helps) it has water & ice.

If it's integrated surely you can't have water dispenser on the front?

I found one, by Miele, with a dispenser on the front - but it was something ridiculous like £6,000.

I've given up in a front dispenser - I'd settle for an internal ice maker tbh.

I may have to give Fischer & Paykel another thought!

I love ours. The fridge bit is the top two thirds and has big double doors so you can see everything easily. The freezer is the bottom third and is divided into two drawers internally (top drawer subdivided into two sections), so no chance of landslides. I really dislike the side by side fridge freezer layout but this double door and drawers arrangement is great. I think other brands now do the same layout too.

...Oh and they are not integrated BUT one or two brands (incl F&P) now offer this style in a version that can be flush with your cabinetry. So the fridge won't stick out any further than the cabinets. Looks very neat.

@MumOfThrMoos sorry to resurrect this old thread but I wondered what you settled on in the end? We are going to do our kitchen this summer and also have an American style f/f that I hate. To be fair I like the fridge and love the ice and water dispenser but hate the shelved freezer. It’s such a poor design.

I’ve found a Miele one that can be integrated and has a water and ice dispenser, however the freezer layout is the same as an American style one. I’ve found a Liebherer (sp) one that has an internal ice maker which might be the compromise but I think it was an F rating. You’d think these days with people like integrated appliances and water/Ice dispensers there would be more choice.

@SunnyUpNorth I’m also looking an integrated freezer with ice maker, have you been able to find anything? I hadn’t seen the Miele one but had the other already, just wondered if there’s anything else out there

I've never found one. But I dislike the fridge/freezer drawers at the bottom though. You end up having to root through and remove have the stuff as inevitably what you want is at the bottom. I don't mind the shelves - you can see what's there.

I have found an integrated standard size fridge freezer with integrated ice and water - its the Liebherr ICBNDI5183 - hope this helps

We have the Liebherr one mentioned above and are really pleased with it. You have to open the door for the ice but that is OK as it is about £6k cheaper than the Miele one which has the ice maker in the door. As far as I know these are the only 2 options for integrated freezers with ice makers.

You can get ice makers that sit in a cupboard or on the worktop. And you can get chilled water from a tap too. So you don't HAVE to have a fancy integrated appliance, just a normal one could do.

too true, but that wasn't the question - somebody was after an integrated fridge freezer with ice and water, similar to myself. I have an ice maker and a brita water filter in the fridge but I am fed up of filling them up (since I'm the only person who sees fit to do this job in my house!)

@cestunestilo just to add that those ice makers that sit on the worktop are not quite the same to the built in ones in the freezer. The reason is that the counter top ice makers don't actually keep the ice frozen, so you have you scoop it all out and put it in the freezer by hand. It will melt and be re-ingested and re-frozen but I don't think that this is the same approach that the built in freezer versions use. Also you don't seem to be able to get plumbed in ones like you can with the fridge freezers. Just a FYI, hope it is helpful
