Can I put a blank cover over a slave telephone point?.

It used to be the master but bt switched it over for reasons I forget.

I’m changing all the switch covers & we will never have anything plugged into it so I’m thinking of blanking it off but I know Dh will worry the broadband won’t work if we disconnect one box.

the broadband and phone just need to be plugged into the master socket. Slave sockets are from the days when cordless phones weren't available and aren't needed now. You can disconnect it.

you should keep a cheap corded phone in a drawer in case of power failure.
