Curtains for window in attic

How would you put up curtains in an attic where the window goes right up to the ceiling and the radiator is underneath the window?
Also what length? I like floor length but that'd cover the radiator and the heat.

Apologies for rubbish quality photo, it is taken off right move as a similar window.

We have white wooden venetian blinds on hours wnich look very stylish, but have you considered shutters?

I have shutters on mine! Thought about it a lot and had Venetian blinds, but shutters are the best for blocking light and not covering half the window when open.

Not the best picture but you get the idea:

Also there is a radiator under the window there.

And we had a black out blind behind them to make it completely black out.

Ooh I hadn't even thought about shutters.
I don't normally ever close the curtains so they're just there for decoration, but it seems like they'd block lots of light. Shutters is a good compromise
