Hammonds fitted wardrobes

We have just had hammonds round for a consultation. For a 2 metre long 3 door wardrobe with 2 x double hanging space and shelves in the middle and a shelf at the very top the cost is 2.8k.
This is ok for us but I don't know if they ate a good company to use, has anyone used them recently?

couple of years ago but found a local shop that sold hepplewhite which is part of hammonds. happy with the robes and the shop were more helpfull than in the hammonds showroom who were a bit pushy. look to see if anyone near you does hepplewhite

Yes and absolutely no complaints, they look beautiful and we’ve had them for well over a year and they still look like brand new.

Thank you, that's great. We are getting a quote from sharps as well but I'm expecting them to be alot more expensive.

I was caught out with a similar wardrobe company, they are way over priced. Always quote the highest price they think they can get away with. You have been quoted £1000 a door basically! Is it really worth that? I second the Hepplewhite, it is the same as used by Hammonds so my local shop has informed me. (We spent months together as they fitted out my house when we gutted it and I totally trust them). They are not allowed to call it Hammonds for obvious reasons but can sell Hepplewhite. It would be a fraction of the price to have a small local firm fit it.

We had Hammonds Fitted furniture in our bedroom - fitted in February. Absolutely amazing!!

Thank you, I have found a local company that sells hepplewhite so have booked an appointment with them.
That's the 3 quotes then so at least we will be making an informed choice!
Great to hear positive reviews of hammonds, thank you Flowers

I think that's a ridiculously high price for a wardrobe. We've just ordered some Rauch wardrobes - technically freestanding but they can't be moved and look built-in - for less than £600 each and 2.5m width.

We need them to be built in as we are extremely short on space. We basically can't have one with a back as we wouldn't be able to walk round the bed!
Have someone coming out re hepplewhite on Monday evening so thank you for that info.

It is a high price though, I agree with you on that! I'd ideally like to spend 1.5k max but I don't know if that's possible...
