Mortgage rate increases - has this changed your financial behaviour?

How is everyone coping with the hike in interest rates and increased energy bills?

I have changed mortgage and energy suppliers but still feel like I have become a wage slave to pay for it all!

How is everyone else managing?

Yes that will happen, cat 64, !

We have a good fixed rate deal til March then we will remortgage. Hopefully rates will have come back down to a similar level to what they were when we took on the house. If not we may but a bit on interest only if the repayments are going to be a massive jump and dp's salary hasn't gone up (mine won't have(.

We use the tumble dryer mostly.

This flat is the size of a postage stamp and there is no outdoor space or communal garden to hang washing.

The heaters are those electric storage thingies.

Again, can't change those as it's rental property.

But happily, our move date has been moved up and we'll be out of here around late August.
