Do you recognise this kitchen?

Hello there!

I am on a very tight budget but really desperate to refresh my kitchen. I was thinking about replacing doors and worktop. Unfortunately I cannot find replacement doors anywhere! I have been told it may be Howdens but they werent very helpful when I contacted them.

Do you recognise this kitchen or would you be able to recommend replacement doors that would be a good match? Ideally I would love much lighter but then they wouldnt match the colour of units ...

Many thanks!

I found my local Howdens to be good when trying to find a match for my kitchen so perhaps try a different branch?

Would it be possible to paint the doors?

user1489844432 · 07/04/2018 13:21

Painting was my initial idea but some of them are visibly damaged ie laminate coming off the edges

Have you tried DIY kitchens?

user1484830599 · 07/04/2018 17:05

I have used these guys before, they are a great company and so helpful. I'm sure if you get in touch they'll be able to find a match.

Is it the original kitchen? If a relatively modern house it might be worth contacting the building company to see which company supplied kitchens to them.

it looks to me like a MFI "walnut" door I've seen. Does it have rounded edges?

PigletJohn · 07/04/2018 21:11

the handles are Hafele stainless "keyhole" or "boss" handles. I have a crate of them.

NotMeNoNo · 07/04/2018 21:44

How about this, or something else on the site? It looks like a cherry or walnut effect. www.larkandlarks.co.uk/kitchens/kitchen-doors/premium-pvc-edge-doors/radius-aida-walnut-door-drawer

PigletJohn · 07/04/2018 21:48

"aida" is a walnut-effect laminate made by egger, it is very durable. You can get a sample for about £1 from suppliers, or free if you email Egger.

Hello

Many thanks for all your replies, some very useful tips that I am going to look into.

@PigletJohn
You may be on the money. It has rounded edges indeed. They are not as rounded as on your link but I am going to look into MFI range.
