I've read everyone hates Smeg, but any other tips? Any reason the cheaper brands are worse than higher end?

I've had my Rangemaster Toledo 110cm for 14 years. Have recently had to replace fan and hotplate but otherwise it's been great.

I second rangenaster Toledo. I inherited mine from the previous owners when we bought the house. Love it and would recommend

We've got a Smeg (JL's own brand). It's fine, does what a cooker is supposed to do.

I have the Rangemaster Elan 110 and I think you can see/feel the quality difference if you look at them side by side with the cheaper brands. I like the griddle plate on mine and the wok stand is handy not just for woks.
I did erm and ahh about going cheaper but I am happy with the choice

I’m looking to get a 1100cm range. Has to be electric. I did a thread recently on here and had lots of replies.
