Hi
We're looking to move to Rochester/ Strood/ Chatham.
We have two toddlers.
Does anyone have any advice on what areas to avoid, please?
Thanks!

I live in the centre of Rochester and it's quite nice at the moment. Lots of new builds going up by the river along with a new primary school and health centre/gyms etc. Planned to be ready by 2019 I think. Will make Rochester a lot busier but hopefully services will improve along with it.

Some parts of strood are quite nice, depends where you are. I would personally say avoid Chatham, but only from my own experience. St Mary's island is on the edge of Chatham and is lovely, can sometimes feel a bit isolated if you don't have a car.

Rochester is generally considered the nicer area. It's more expensive though.

Yy Rochester is nicer probably the most expensive area of Medway. Strood mostly ok, Chatham not so nice & some parts really not nice.

Have you considered Maidstone? It’s not too far from the Medway area, and also has some nice areas.

I used to live in Rochester and Chatham...

I went back a couple of weeks ago for work - and OMG avoid Chatham...I used to think it was bad but bloody hell it has gone downhill.

Definitely stick to Rochester...out of the three.
